"We stayed at the Panorama where we were greeted by the owner. Noula. Noula takes a great pride in her apartments and we have never had a bad one. As with everywhere in Greece, they can suffer with the odd power or water cut, but hey, you light a candle and open another cold beer!"

A few years ago we decided to book a holiday in Greece. Becoming more and more disenchanted with the islands and the 18-30 holiday culture we decided to look for something different. Stoupa In the Kosmar brochure took our interest and seemed to be an ideal spot to holiday. However, even early in the year it was all fully booked. We then spotted Chrani in the brochure and decided to book ourselves a week in July, being a little cautious as we could not find any reviews and wondering if it might be too quiet. We had no need to worry."

This was our second visit to this peaceful, unspoiled resort and we received a very warm welcome from Chris and Jan whom we had arranged the booking through. Two of the most caring, genuine people we've ever met. Noula, the owner is always willing to have a chat and is always smiling."

"We were absolutely delighted with the apartment we were given, 2 balconies which meant we had sun in the morning and also in the evening. We could sit and enjoy the views of the bay before getting ready to go out for our evening meal. The apartments in general were clean, airy and spacious and more than adequate for our needs as a self-catering holiday. Along the beach, which can be a bit stony in parts, the blue sun beds (the beach is sandier here) were free if you bought some cool beers or food. Not a hardship, as it was really hot anyway."

"Our favourite restaurants were Kipos (garden restaurant) and Hellas. Although there are other places to eat, we returned to these places often in our 2 weeks due to the friendliness and excellence of the food. Still a lot cheaper to eat out in Chrani than in UK. Seven of us went out for a meal before we left, and the total for starters, main dishes/bread and a few carafes of wine and beers came to 78euros."

"Pounaras mini market/kafeneon is definitely the place to shop, have a morning coffee /wine /beer and pass the time of day with owners Christos, Petros and Voula, and many of the locals. A lovely family run business and really friendly people."

"We chose not to hire a car although many did. Buses run to Koroni and Petalidi regularly for 1euro 40cents."
